NACE Inspection Certification
The NACE Inspection Certification program is a highly regarded industry Inspections – Tankpro standard for coating inspectors. Certified inspectors have the knowledge to identify and resolve coating problems, resulting in high-quality coatings for your projects. NACE also provides specialized certifications for coating inspectors, including pipeline industry, cathodic protection, and general coatings. These courses are offered through NACE International Institute, which offers training courses to build industry skills. These courses include:
NACE offers a variety of courses, including normal courses, CIP Exam Courses, and specialty training. Normal courses last 60 hours, while specialty training lasts six days. Each course focuses on a specific specialty rather than a general overview of the industry. A specialty course may be geared toward a specific application area, and a CIP Exam Course may be a good choice if you’re not interested in NACE’s core training program.
Applicants must complete training courses, meet experience requirements, and pass a computer-based exam. Some NACE certifications also require practical exams. In addition, NACE awards a Willis Rodney Whitney Award to those who have made significant contributions to corrosion science and prevention. Similarly, the R.A. Brannon Award recognizes individuals who have worked to advance the objectives of NACE. It’s worth noting that NACE has 33 student sections throughout the world.

In addition to the above-mentioned industries, NACE inspectors examine coatings in a variety of industries, including water tanks, pipelines, and chemical plants.
